Find your favorite Peruvian music, I think this is very Important
you need to use your 5 senses...somehow the Peruvian flavor is
born by this main ingredient.....enjoy....this was my
second time making them...remenber just be open minded and
and be happy and selfconfident that you can do it.
1.- Beat until flufy 1 cup butter and 3/4 cup butter.
2.- Add and keep mixing :
2 egg yolks (litgly mix)
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 teaspoon lemon rind
3.- In a separated bowl sift toguether:
2 1/2 cup cornstarch
1 2/3 cup flour
1 pinch of salt
1/4 teasp. Baking powder.
4.- Add the dry ingredients 1/2 cup & the time ... mix....
you can use mixer or a fork or Peruvian Style using
yur beautifull clean hands..mix very well.
( picture below).
5.- flour surface very well this the secret for them to be easy
to cup up and removed from surface..you can use round
shapes heart shapes make it into a large cake...(picture below)
6.- place on cookie sheet and cook at 375 for ..well here come the
the trickiest part....there have to be a litle of challenge now
if you have thin cookie or thick cookie a large one or small
you want to make them all the same thickness and only bake
them until yellow no brown or golden brown ...if you over cook
they wont melt in your mouth...soorryy...during this part I stay next
oven for my first batch and time it and watch and then I will use
same temperature and time for the rest of my cookies..oufffff
Now with the challege out of the way...yummmm
7.- have them cool off...and fill with condensed milk that have been
boil for 3 hours and cool off.
8.- Now Create a litle powder sugar or coconut to make the
sprinckles stick spread the cool condensed milk around the edges
now is time.....take a bite....ummmmmm que rico, delicioso!!
